The Swedish Transport Administration plays a central role in the development of civil defense, and we are now looking for someone who wants to help build our capacity in civil preparedness.

As a specialist in our maintenance region, you will be an important part of the preparedness work. You will be part of a growing section where you collectively drive the development and implementation of methods and structures within the preparedness area - with a clear focus on safety, continuity, and robustness.

In this role, you will among other things:

• develop and establish methods and processes related to civil preparedness within the maintenance operations.
• participate in assignments and ongoing work within preparedness, security protection, and continuity management.
• contribute to regional development initiatives within the security area.
• support the work within information and physical security as needed.
• train and exercise the department's staff in preparedness-related issues, including the development of training materials and exercise setups.
• actively contribute to building functions, networks, and methods.

You often act as a discussion partner internally for project managers and other functions, but also externally towards contractors and other societal actors. Building relationships, creating understanding, and driving the work forward in collaboration is central to succeeding in the mission.

Swedish citizenship is a requirement as the position is classified in a security category. A satisfactory result in the security screening, conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act (2018:585), is also required for employment.

We are looking for someone who:

• is confident in driving and leading processes and can balance both strategic and operational tasks.
• communicates and collaborates easily with various actors - internally and externally.
• sees the big picture, is solution-oriented, and adapts quickly to changing conditions.
• has the ability to work independently but also build common methods together with others.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who has:

• a university degree of at least 180 credits (120 ECTS) with a focus on crisis management or preparedness. Alternatively, other education combined with experience that we assess as equivalent.
• current and relevant experience of working within the societal crisis management system and/or within civil preparedness or security protection in public operations
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing.

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience of collaboration with other authorities, public actors, or private actors in the field of civil preparedness.
• experience of working with operational protection in the public sector.
• experience of working with the Swedish Transport Administration's infrastructure facilities.
• experience of working as a project manager.
